Classroom Interaction in an Online Speaking Class

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The qualitative study aims to look into the patterns and characteristics of interaction in an online speaking course. This research was conducted at Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta's Oral English for Daily Communication Class Applied Study Program. researcher observed learning sessions learn about teaching process synchronously on <em>Google Meet</em>. findings revealed that teacher students produced various involving teacher-class, teacher-student, student-teacher, student-student, teacher-group interaction, as well mixed features such confirmation check, code switching, self-repetition, clarification request, elicitation, completion, other-repetition, correction.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Tujuan dari penelitian kualitatif ini adalah untuk melihat pola dan karakteristik interaksi yang terjadi dalam kelas berbicara dilaksanakan secara daring. Penelitian di Kelas Komunikasi Harian Yogyakarta Program Studi Bahasa Inggris Terapan. Peneliti mengamati sesi pembelajaran daring mempelajari proses belajar mengajar berlangsung sinkron Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa guru siswa menghasilkan berbagai melibatkan guru-kelas, guru-siswa, siswa-guru, siswa-siswa, guru-sekelompok siswa, serta macam fitur seperti <em>confirmation other-repetition </em>dan<em> correction</em><em>.</em>
